Swap partition

Is swap partition is strictly needed for installing ubuntu 15.04 on 2GB ram system?
I can only create 4 partitions on my hard disk,cant create more(swap partition).Sorry for my bad English and hope you understand. Urgent help needed.

Yes with 2Gb RAM you will definitely use your swap. If you need more than 4 partitions then make one an "extended partition" you can then create lots of "logical partitions in that to fill your needs.

A drive can only have 4 "primary partitions" as you have seen but they made this work around to allow more.
