impossible de faire un rebuild du RAID1 degradé

Asked by hamza Morchid

Hi team,

please can you help on this escalation :

Issue : the Customer is facing an issue when he try to install Ubuntu 12.04 certified Image for the Dell Optiplex 9020 with a RAID1 volume created.

cusstomer set a RAID1 physically using the Intel Matrix Controller and boot on the Ubuntu DVD.
once the installation start he get the following message " can't install the Grub on /Dev/SDa, please chose other ..." , i can finish the installation if i chose other mappe like /dev/mapper/xxxxxxxx_Volume1.

once the installation is done, and if one of the two driver is failed/replaced by a new one, the system don't finish the rebuild, the system remains on rebuild status without completing this operation.

i have tried the test with Windows7/8 and Cent OS it works without any issue.

can you help please

best regards
