yoga 3 - bluetooth does not work; must choose between wifi and bluetooth
Hi,
my bluetooth does not function.
a friend of mine who installed ubuntu on my yoga 3 said, that I have to choose between using wifi or bluetooth, as ubuntu at this moment - for this laptop - does not support both together.., and I shall wait for bug fixes - Kernel updates
is there already a solution or bug fix for that?
thank you

Why did you add sudo? Jersey's command in #9 doesn't have the word in it, so why did you add it?

because I am a new user of ubuntu, and when I was browsing on the net on how to do things, it always starts with a sudo; also, they many times leave it out (and expecting to add). this is why, factually. emotional wise I did not mean to hurt anyone with it, I was happy for the feedback and that it proceeds, so I hope I did not cause many disturbing feelings with it, and if I did, what to do..
Jeremy I hope everything is fine with you.
the response for the command as it was given is exactly the same:

many thanks Jeremy!

Adding sudo is not always needed, sometimes adding sudo to commands can do damage to files.
Please run commands given by helpers as given. Don't add sudo just because you think it's needed / because you feel like it.

What is the output of:
hcitool scan
If you set your device to be discoverable. Is it seen? Do you find any Bluetooth devices at all?

Device is not available: No such device
it recognised deviced an Envaya speaker, but it did not manage to connect to it with any of the PIN options. My other laptop and phones recognised this Envaya device easily. Same with the headset.
Now it does not recognise it anymore (I have a bluetooth mouse, a headset, a speaker and a phone switched on next to me). I was waiting quite a few minutes expecting the search to give any results.
The search slows down the laptop very much, I can hardly write this text. After stopping the search, the computer is fast again.
