how can i get the source code of ubuntu?

I want to compile a initrd image for arm . So I looked up the /boot/init.xxx.img, but there is some elf files. for example, the /bin/run-list. how to get its source code ??

Ubuntu is composed of many packages and obtaining all the source is beyond the scope of my knowledge.

However since you have identified initrd image I think you are just looking to build the kernel. The initrd image is currently generated by some tools during installation of a kernel.

It is aimed at building kernels for current Ubuntu releases - not for building upstream kernels from kernel.org
