Your Terminal output shows the following info about your wireless network adapter:
07:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Ralink corp. RT5390 Wireless 802.11n 1T/1R PCIe [1814:5390]
That adapter is supported by the rt2800pci driver, according to this link;
https:/
rt2800pci is included out-of-the-box in recent versions of Ubuntu.
However, your Terminal output shows the following issues:
Issue 1)
/etc/modprobe.
/etc/modprobe.
/etc/modprobe.
/etc/modprobe.
/etc/modprobe.
/etc/modprobe.
/etc/modprobe.
/etc/modprobe.
/etc/modprobe.
So you have blacklisted/
I bet you tried to compile and install the rt5390sta three times and each time, the install script blacklisted the rt2800pci driver.
Issue 2) Error: Object 'nm' is unknown, try 'nmcli help'.
So the command
nmcli nm status
does not work anymore, which is also non normal...
Issue 3) [ 7.395478] rt5390sta: disagrees about version of symbol module_layout
This indicates that your PC is trying to use a half-compiled, half-broken wireless driver instead of the right one (rt2800pci)
There are too many problems here.
I suggest booting a liveUSB session of Ubuntu 15.04. If everything (including wireless) works out-of-the-box in the LiveUSB session of Ubuntu 15.04, I suggest performing a clean install of 15.04....
I also suggest testing a LiveUSB session of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
Can you help with this problem?
