Ubuntu 15.04 laptop shutdown

I ve upgraded to Ubuntu 15.04 clean install and now I can not turn off my laptop...

In 14.04 I had to install laptop-mode-tools to do this... dont know exactly what it was...

Ive tried GRUB acpi off etc but nothing of those worked even they let me with out wifi..

So Im lost Ive tried all posibilities, but cant find a solution...

Does the system have a make and model?
What version did you upgrade from?
Was the system of in 14.04?

I did not upgrade... I did a clean install...

Dont know what going on...

its not a bios bug either i have lastest version of phoenix bios... and no luck

when i do, sudo shutdown -h now it reboots, sudo poweroff it reboots, sudo halt and system halts and i have to turn it off by holding power button as a workarround thats the only solution i found...

Then it's not an Upgrade.

If you run:

sudo shutdown -h now

Does it shutdown OK?

No it does not, it reboots

I have lastest update for my BIOS just as I said, even though... I dont know why it only happens with this last release of Ubuntu, with laptop-mode-tools in older versions it did not happen...

I suggest you report a bug. You could always reinstall with Trusty. Trusty is LTS and supported til April 2019
