UBUNTU 14.04 LTS - gmail does not redirect to facebook or ello

When I click on "see post" in email, then Gmail begins to open to facebook page but blank page results with google redirect still on address bar- never gets to facebook. Is there a glitch in the UBUNTU matrix? Or do I look to Firefox/ NoScript? Or Gmail? Help!

Have you tried disabling browser addons to see if they are the issue?

Yes. I did. Although they never were an issue before.
I am also finding that links to other sites in my emails in general will
not connect either with the same blank page and the gmail redirect in
address bar. Looks like redirect isn't working for gmail with my firefox
browser.
