NAS/Wifi speed freezes LibreOffice

Asked by Jan

When having my WD MyBook NAS mounted in Nautilus over smb, my LibreOffice is affected with massive performance problems, having freezes again and again which makes the program impossible to use. It seems to me like Libre Office is operating on the mounted NAS permanently and freezes are caused in longer repond times of the network drive. Any ideas?

If you access them via the mount point rather than the abstracted icon in the file browser is it any different?

Hello, yes the problem also occurs when I open files over /run/user/xxxx/share.

Whenever a networkfile is open, it seems that LibreOffice is continuously accessing the filesystem.

In general I notice performance lags when working on smb mounts, not only with LibreOffice.
