Compaq Presario C700

Hi

Just newly install 15.04 ubuntu on my Compaq presario C700, after updating the Laptop and enabling the addition drivers, the system hangs and seize and release cursor. it make installing other software very difficult, you have to shut the Laptop and restart

How much memory? Ubuntu 15.04 with unity? Nvidia video? Which video drivers are in use (nouveau, nvidia, vga)?You might be better off using Lubuntu , then installing the proprietary Nvidia drivers.
