Maybe because your installed version of mindi is

mindi v2.1.6-r3177

I suggest upgrading mindi to version 3.0.0 and mondo to version 3.2.0 if you are running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS:

You can get the new packages here:

ftp://ftp.mondorescue.org/ubuntu/14.04

Or you can try running the following bash script to install the newer packages:

cd /tmp
wget ftp://ftp.mondorescue.org/ubuntu/14.04/mondorescue.sources.list
sudo cp mondorescue.sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mondorescue.sources.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mondo mindi

And if the previous bash script does not solve the issue, then try this bash script instead, which will install an even newer version of mondo and mindi :

cd /tmp
wget ftp://ftp.mondorescue.org/test/ubuntu/`lsb_release -r|awk '{print $2}'`/mondorescue-test.sources.list
sudo cp mondorescue-test.sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mondorescue-test.sources.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mondo mindi

Also run the following bash commands afterwards:

sudo ln -s /sbin/parted2fdisk /usr/sbin/parted2fdisk
sudo ln -s /sbin/mke2fs /usr/sbin/mke2fs

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Csaba Szekely for more information if necessary.
