WLAN/WIFI Disconnects after 5 mins, then unable to connect unless rebooted

Asked by volamoot

After an update of wpasupplicant and other dependencies for network-manager the wlan/wifi cuts out after 5-15 mins. The only solution I have found would be a full system reboot but that becomes a huge pain.

The updates that were installed that caused this issue to arise are as follow:
ubuntu-settings 15.04.2 -> 15.04.3
lightdm 1.14.0-0ubuntu2 -> 1.14.2-0ubuntu1
liblightdm-gobject-1-0 1.14.0-0ubuntu2 -> 1.14.2-0ubuntu1
aptdaemon-data 1.1.1+bzr982-0ubuntu3 -> 1.1.1+bzr982-0ubuntu3.1
aptdaemon 1.1.1+bzr982-0ubuntu3 -> 1.1.1+bzr982-0ubuntu3.1
wpasupplicant 2.1-0ubuntu7.1 -> 2.1-0ubuntu7.2

What would be the best possible solution to resolving these issues?
