Is there a default password for the terminal "su" command on Elementary os? I tried the ones I set up during the installation, but none of them work.

Asked by Silvestre Leonardo González Abreu

I tried each of my passwords to get to the terminal root user to use some of the commands, but none of them have worked and now I am stuck with this problem. Thank you very much for your help.

This site is only about official Canonical issues of *buntu.

Elementary OS may be "based" on Ubuntu, but it is not made by Canonical. It is different and it is not dealt with here.

Please try: https://elementaryforums.com/index.php
or: https://unix.stackexchange.com/

None of the "Ubuntu based" distributions are supported by the Ubuntu community.

(If Elementary OS is similar to Ubuntu, then you should not use the su command, but should use sudo instead.)
