Hw to delete sudoku games automatically being saved

Asked by Manisha

I am using ubuntu and I'd like to delete saved games in gnome Sudoku. Sudoku automatically saved some games that I had played and I can't see any option of deleting those saved games. Please provide a solution as soon as possible.

Isn't that saved game automatically deleted when you finally solve it?

I assume they are stored somewhere in a config directory below you home directory.

What is the output of the terminal commands

ls -la ~/.local/share/
sudo updatedb
locate gnome-sudoku

I don't know where they are stored but a way to delete them is to start playing the game again - and then in the "Game" menu select "New". A dialog will appear asking if you want to "Cancel", "Abandon game" or "Save game for later". Select Abandon and that game will be removed from the list of saved games.

I had a chance to locate the files: they are in ~/.config/gnome-sudoku/saved/

So if you have a lot of games you need to delete you can open a terminal window (using Ctrl-Alt-t) and enter the following command: rm ~/.config/gnome-sudoku/saved/*

This would delete all the saved games. Alternatively you could have your file manager show hidden files and navigate into this folder and delete them.

Can you help with this problem?
