12.10 reached the end of its life about a year ago.

12.04 was an LTS (Long Term Support) and will go on until April 2017

14.04 is an LTS and will go on until April 2019.

You need another version.

It's like having Windows 98 and looking for updates. They don't exist.

I suggest you wipe off Quanta and do a clean install of Trusty. Trusty is LTS and supported til April 2019. You can restore your user data from your backups.
