za.archive.ubuntu.com resolves to Kenya server and gives 403 error

Asked by Mark Schmitz

Hi,

Since this morning (25/05/2015), apt-get update is failing on all za.archive.ubuntu.com sources with a '403 forbidden' error. za.archive.ubuntu.com is resolving to ubuntu-archive.mirror.liquidtelecom.com which is located in Kenya, not South Africa and attempting to browse ubuntu-archive.mirror.liquidtelecom.com/ubuntu or any other path results in a '403 forbidden' error.

I know I can modify the sources, but is it possible for someone with the necessary authority to take a look at both the DNS mapping and the error on the 'default' mirror for South Africa.

Thanks,
Mark.
