support linux tv application for ubuntu, atleast in repo.

Asked by ajmal_82

i want to mention, particularly when i want to use
tv(esp analog),i regret having deep troubles with Ubuntu
i don't have tv application in Ubuntu repository
options:
Ultimate:mythtv,but mine card isnt detected
in installation.so,how will it work with mythtv or mythubuntu.i dont want to use some mythdora etc
also i dont have working internet connection installation
not easily possible,provide a deb instead.also i need
small application.
PS:most of the projects are dead.
1)Tvtime(too old, doesnt detect my card nor all channels
available in india,no preference too many problems) just
compare it to christv and windvr.
2)xawtv-another hero with zero interface,useless
interface,no way to handle channels etc
3)zapping(something)too old and buggy.
also tried xine, vlc, mplayer.kdetv is good but problem with
tunning and saving channels,no update,less preferences,kde
only,no deb,hard to configure sound.
i need features like
1)saving channel list import/export
2.ability to record tv,skip advertisement
3.take screenshot
4.mosiac
5.handle channels in different regions, india, asia etc.
6.ability to tune,add,remove,channels,rename,change
channel position/number.
Please compare it to christv 5.10 etc.
i want application very similar to christv, kdetv.

I converted this into a question since this is not a bug.

Did you try me-tv, it's available in hardy or via http://launchpad.net/me-tv ?
