wireless connection for 10.04

I just installed ubuntu 10.04 on a Dell Latitude d600 and it is not picking up my wireless internet. I need help from the beginning, this is my first linux product.

10.04 has come to the end of its life. You would be better to get a more recent version.

Indeed. Trusty (Ubuntu 14.04) is LTS and supported til April 2019. Lucid (Ubuntu 10.04) is completely EOL and no longer supported in any way
