Outlook Express not reading all emails from Inbox

Asked by GeorgeMay

I am using Outlook Express on windows XP(SP3)(Virtual box) two days ago I lost the newly received emails. I checked the view option and it was on view all messages. I created a new Identity and tried to import the messages from the inbox it said there are 4000 messages it arrived to 3100 and then gave me the congratulations page that all my messaged were imported but when I went to the inbox it was the same thing it's like it couldn't read the last 800 email. I tried to use the inbox repair utility but It wasn't installed on my system.

Any help would be appreciated

Windows not supported on this Ubuntu forum. And even Microsoft does not support Windows XP anymore:

Why not just install Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and use thunderbird or evolution (Email client) to read your mails? ;-)

You can use Recovery Toolbox for Outlook Express tool is your reliable assistant in recovering messages from corrupted Outlook Express *.dbx files. It will help to organize the process of recovering correspondence from corrupted *.dbx files as clear and effectively as possible. You can open the Recovery Wizard at any moment when you are working with Recovery Toolbox for Outlook Express.
