can not install ubuntu within windows 7

Asked by MTA

The installation proposes me to delete windows, but I do not want that, when to the "something else" option it presents me some options that I do not understand, something about removing partitions and things like that . Could you please explain me this "something else' option.Thanks.

II had ubuntu 14. 4 installed but it crashed, the GRUB disappeared and could not even start windows until I run disk-repair, now I am working from a pen drive installation of ubuntu 14.4.2 64bits but it does not want to install in the terms I want it to,that is, without deleting windows. Sometimes it offers to install it alongside windows but when it comes to do it, it restarts the computer.
