Asked by Rich.b

Dell 2400 Dimension 2GB ram Ubuntu 12.04

While backing up I notice the there were files from xmbc/addons. (see below)

I have removed xmbc programme some time ago, so how I remove xmbc/addons.
and are there other item that should be removed.
Note: I ran BleachBit before I ran Backup prog.

Scanning: /home/richard/.xbmc/addons/plugin.video.xbmb3c/changelog.txt

Thanks for any advice.

Removing programs doesn't clear the configuration in your home folder. It only removes the package files. This is also why removing and reinstalling an application is not a fix. If you uninstall Firefox then your Web browser settings and such will still reside in ~/.mozilla

Thank you Andrew, yes I understand that.

So can I or should I, clear the configuration in your home folder, and if so, how is this done?

If you don't have XBMC and don't need any of the data then run:

rm -r /home/richard/.xbmc

It's just a folder, so deleting it is like any other folder......
