canon mg3250 printer not working wifi from laptop

Hi, my canon mg3250 printer works when connected to my laptop and wifi with my ipad but does not work wifi with the laptop. Everything looks ok on the printer ie wifi light on? totally baffled! If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

HI,
Thanks for your help.  I am not that great with IT issues but when I did PING i received back "command not found"

(Not sure if this site is for people who know what they are doing/talking about but it there are anything else i could try it would be much appreciated but might need a little help walking through it, had to got on to ehow to find out how to ping ha ha)

Ubuntu is case sensitive. The command is ping not PING.
Do you know the IT address of the printer?

should have tried that!
I have the IP address.  Typed that in ping. It is now up to seq 305 destination host unreachable?
