cant boot into live CD...

tried ubuntu and now downloaded n burned kubuntu 7.10...
but both still cant be boot...
ive checked the image file with md5sum n its a perfect match
i know how to burn an iso file on a CD
ive tried setting all the boot priority to boot on my CD
what happen is evrytime i try to boot by either the first option or the 2nd 1 which was "run kubuntu using safe graphic" i think
what happen is that after it says "booting kernel" i think...
the word dissappear...
well i thought it was booting...
so i waited for like 15minutes...but its still is blank...
the screen didnt go all black,it was almost black but a little grayish...
as if it was booting but it is not...
the CD that i used was desktop amd64...
since im using an AMD system anyway...
so need help...thanx...sorry for my bad english anyways...im from malaysia...
in malaysia knowing how to use linux is an advantage in applying for a job...
so yeah i do need to learn how to use linux...
that is pretty much it...sory for the lack of info...but thats was what pretty much happened..
ooo ya and i tried to boot using my the 6.06 LTS
it can boot...but stuck at the logo...the ubuntu logo...

my system is
AMD64 X2 3800
Corsair XMS2 2Gig Dual Channel
7600GT Graphic Card

Von87,

When you get to the cd boot menu, press f6 and delete the "quiet splash--" part.
Now you will be able to see verbose output of what is happening.
Try booting now and look for any errors.

Write back to us if anything comes up. . .

is there a way to scrool up those splash screen...
becoz its to fast for me to even read it...
i did see
SELinux Disabled
n the list stop at where it shows
ACPI EXCEPT Processor Core_0783 , AE not found Processor device not present 20070126
unless there's a way to scrool up or i have a gud video cam which i dont
i cant see what the splash screen said...
sory im really a noob in linux...

Follow my first post in this topic, but at the end of the line, add "noapic" without the quotes.
Try booting now and see if there are any errors.

hmm that noapic really did the trick thanx sir zombie but now i dunno how to config the internet browser proxy...
n seems laggy...n how to read ntfs file???i ready sumwhere that 7.10 support ntfs n can read them am i rite???
bcoz lots of my stuff in there...if cant access the ntfs file then no use lor using ubuntu dem...all my works are in there...
but thanx anyways...
