Have I been blacklisted?

Asked by fraterchaos

HELLO?????

I recently posted a request for assistance with a problem installing a program called Democracy TV. The program is an internet TV viewer. WHen I try to install it it tells me "dependency not satifiable: libatk1.0-0

I have reinstalled this lib package, and every other thing that has "libatk" in its title. And I posted a question here earlier today about this issue. I also have open questions from an earlier issue, and have not received ANY replies on any of these issues.

I even noticed that when I view my question about libatk, if I look on the stats box on the webpage, it say nobody is assinged to help me.

Ok, I realize that I have posted some messages that may have seemed rude, but I also apologized more than once, and tried to explain the circumstances that lead to the rudeness.

So, my question is this, have I been blacklisted?

I'd really like to know how to get this TV thing to work, but waiting for answers is not something I do all that well.

Please respond, at least let me know if anyone is even looking into this.

No, you haven't been blacklisted, we are all here to help out when we can. Though this is not a job for us, we just like to help out when we can, but we are all just volunteers here. And yes being rude about things can turn some people away from deciding to answer you, but tend to be pretty forgiving, esp as you have explained yourself. It may be that someone doesn't know what to do about your issue yet, or they are not online, be assured that we do read the posts, just sometimes it takes a little while to get around to researching a proper answer for you. You can also check out IRC(being rude there will get you ignored) and and the forums to see if they can help. It seems that you are pretty computer literate, and with that, most issues can be solved with by searching google, wiki.ubuntu.com, and the ubuntuforums.org.

I have to get going right now, but I will look into your issues when I get some time, doesn't mean I will come up with an answer, but I will try.

After taking a look at your support requests, it seems that they are all in progress now. :-)
