Samba won't start

I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Desktop

when I want create a share I get the following:

'net usershare' returned error 255: net usershare add: cannot convert name "Everyone" to a SID. The connection was refused. Maybe smbd is not running.

Samba won't start I get the above message or this "/usr/sbin/samba stopped working

Can anyone help?
