Ubuntu 14.04.2 installation problem again
I decided not to give up and tried to install Ubuntu 14.04.2 (from ubuntu 14.04.2-
When using the Unetboot LiveUSB in "Test Ubuntu"-mode, no key commands are working and after installation it doesn't accept the password but returns to starting point asking the password again. Tried to reset the password (mount -o remount ,rw /), which was accepted, but after restarting Ubuntu normally, faced the same problem.
When installing from the Rufus LiveUSB, "Test Ubuntu" gives only a blank freezed (Ubuntu color) screen not responding to any commands. When making the installation the password is ok, but screen is empty and doesn't take any keyboard commands (for example Ctrl+Alt+T). The only thing being responsive by clicking the screen is System Settings , where I can change background picture, set a new wifi driver, select a network printer and change screen resolution. However, I can not close the System Settings window.
The bootloader seems to be working - I can start Win and Ubuntu in different modes. Running memtest crashes after a while.
Could this be a display driver problem? And how could I fix it? Would appreciate your help.
