Network detection problem

We are using the Dell optilex 9020 model which having ethernet card Intel corporation Ethernet Connection I217-LM . IT is not detecting the network for Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS as well as 12.04.5 LTS.

Can you ping 8.8.8.8 OK?
Can you ping your router's internal IP (most home grade routers use 192.168.0.1)?

We can not able to ping anything as it is not getting ip from DHCP .

What is the output of the terminal commands

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
sudo lshw -C network
ifconfig
