DOES UBUNTU STILL USE ORCA FOR MAGNAFICATION,IFNOT, WHAT IS USED TO MAGNAFY THE SHELLVIEW OR DESKTOP

I AM POSSABLITY INTERESTED IN USING UBUNTU. I AM LEGALLY BLIND AND CURRENTLY USE WINDOWS 7 PRO OS WITH ZOOMTEXT.
DOES UBUNTU STILL USE ORCA FOR MAGNAFICATION. OR IS ANOTER PROGRAM USED TO ENLARGE THE SHELLWIEW OR DESKTOP SCREEN. IS 4X MAGNAFICATION PROVIDED TO USE.

You can use xmag to magnify the screen section. Compiz also has a zoom option to bring the desktop closer temporarily.

Install compizconfig-settings-manager and you can set a shortcut to zoom the screen
