Cant access Ubuntu after updating windows bios

I recently updated my windows drivers and bios and now i can no longer access ubuntu on startup, the partitions are still there but I have no idea how to access them or make them default again

Use your Ubuntu CD and chroot to the installed Ubuntu OS and reinstate Grub to the MBR.
