no sound since ubunto updated op system

how do iget the sound back on my laptop i have had no sound since ubunto updated the o.s im not computer savvy and cant afford to pay a tech 2 hundred dollars to fix it.. im not computer savvy at all dont even know how to reboot computer with this system.. can somebody please help me or contact me and guide me thruogh it...

What is the output of:

wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x ./alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-info.sh --upload
