trying to upgrade to 12.04 to 14.04

Im trying to upgrade from 12.04 to 14.04 and update manager only gives me 12.10 as an option. Please help me.

Did not work still only gives me 12.10 as an option to upgrade. When I try to upgrade it tells me= Upgrading to a no longer supported version =

Notify me of a new Ubuntu version: Should be set to: For long-term support versions

Open update-manager - settings
switch to the tab 'Updates', and for the option 'Notify my of a new Ubuntu version' select "For long-term supported versions"
