getting error code ssl_error_bad_cert_domain

Asked by miss eirwen roberts

I think the security certificate has expired on 13/03/2015. How can I restore a valid certificate so that I can access websites safely? I can access websites as it is by cancelling the error message, but it keeps reappearing after a few seconds and I am sure it cannot be satisfactory to be operating without a valid security certificate. I use Firefox and the message details command centersmarterfox.com. iI have tried googling this name and I get as far as a message saying waiting for smarterfox but nothing came up after an hour . I would like to extend the validity pertiod of the certicate for as long as possible into the future . -

When you do Ctrl Alt T a terminal will come up. Check site below for more information.

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UsingTheTerminal

Alternate way to enter terminal is at this site. Just watch the way he gets into terminal, you don't need the rest of the video now.
