can't install ubuntu even though it says i have

I boot up my computer and it gives me the option to try ubuntu or install. I click install and, after it's finished, it says i have to restart my computer for changes to take effect. So i do, but it still only gives me the option to try or install ubuntu... HELP!

Have you left the CD ir USB in? If so, take it out. Any better?

when do i take it out? when i do, it my computer crashes.

figured it out just had to run boot-repair
