Juniper connect doesn't work with Kernel 3.19.x

Asked by Dom

Hi,

I am currently on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty. I was previously on Kernel 3.13 and had issues on my XPS 13 with Wifi. I upgraded to Utopic (Kernel 3.16) and still had issues. I later saw that Kernel 3.19 vivid had the fixes I needed. So once I upgrade to 3.19 vivid my Wifi issues were resolved. But then came the issue where if I use Juniper Connect, I am able to setup my VPN connecting but by Tx/Rx on the VPN pipe stays at 0 bytes. Basically, I am unable to use my VPN connection as zero data can make it across. So I used some nightly builds between 3.19 and 3.19.1 and it fixed the issue. Now I figured that 3.19.1 would have the fixes, but I was wrotng. I still can't VPN with 3.19.1. So I am wondering what happened between the nightly builds to include the regression? I am not the only one with this issue. Basically everyone has this issue in and outside my company.

Just FYI, this works on all Kernel 4.0 rc releases.

Ok, I will. I went to launchpad, and somewhat got lost and went 360 back to the page which tells you how to open a bug. It is my first time reporting a bug, can you provide some guidance?

Thanks,
Dom
