firefox 36 open link

firefox 36 removed the function -remote
now any other programs that use open link -remote "open in browser" are broken, such as help, about...

Is the only work around to use another browser as default Midori?

Version 36.0.1+build2-0ubuntu0.12.04.1:

    - revert removal of the deprecated -remote command line option, as some
      older software (eg, Python 2.7's webbrowser module) still depends on it
