bluetooth connected but audio still on internaL speakers

Asked by raymond house

Hi, I'm using ubuntu 14.04 and unity. My Dell bluetooth speakers worked fine up until about a week ago, now it connects OK but audio remains on internal speakers and the external speaker option no longer shows up in the "system settings audio" window.I'm using an HP 15 Pavilion. Thanks for any help.

Try:

killall pulseaudio; rm -r ~/.config/pulse* ~/.pulse*

Wait ten seconds then try some sound stuff.

By the way, I have 2- OS's on my HDD and the bluetooth speakers work fine
with Star Sapphire on one partition but don't work with Ubuntu 14.04.The
bluetooth function works OK but in "System settings, audio" the sound is
not transfered to the outboard speakers. In fact that option does show at
all, so I cant select it.
