cant get cdrw to work in 7.10

My cdrw is not being regognized by the system att all. I not the cd works because I reinstalled 7.10 on yesterday.. It shows up in computer file . But I get error message that says no media in drive and it cant find it. I had An old cdrom hooked up and it had same results. I unhooked it thinking it may be messing it up,but that wasnt it./home/bigdavesr/Desktop/Screenshot-CD-RW Drive Properties.png

Im not sure if my screen shot worked. I have a samsung cd- rw sw-248f . firmware r605 ata removable and there is no settings showing

fix is to update to 8.04
