Unity web apps + firefox

Asked by gabox01

Hi,

I've tried to google for this, but couldn't find a solution yet.
I'd like unity web apps to use firefox as the underlying browser, and not this feature lacking ubuntu browser. There are many problems with it, including lack of flash support, and layout issues.

Can I do this?

I don't know.
So if I were to install Chrome, Unity web apps would use it by default?i
I'm using 14.04 LTS by the way.

I've installed chromium, but the unity web apps like gmail and youtube doesn't seem to pick it up. They are still on ubuntu browser.

Chromium is not Chrome

Yeah, and why should it work with Chrome but not with Chromium?

Chrome comes with PepperFlash which is not in Chromium. There are a few proprietary blobs like that which are the difference

I don't see how those differences can have any effect on my problem.
Perhabs just changing the default browser is not enough for achieving what I want?
