crypt problem

i was normally using my laptop and the update comes. so i updated it and shutdown the laptop. Since, i start the laptop i cannot get my pass-phrase approved eventhough i put right pass-phrase. later on i figure out my caps lock and shift key were not working. What is the problemn ? please help as i dont have backup.

well, i have login many times even an hour before i closed the computer so i am hundred percent sure its something to do with ubuntu. i also checked with exterrna l keyboard and found no any problem with laptop keyboard.
