Problem with Ubuntu install

I am running Oracle Virtualbox and I will install Ubuntu on it and it will work until I close virtualbaox and reopen it and I will have to re install ubuntu. I would like to not have to reinstall ubuntu every time I open virtualbox.

Do you remove the install CD from the system configuration after the install is done?

I have not done that, How would I go about doing that?

Once installed, power the system off then go into the storage options and remove the disk you added when you set the ISO to be used for the installation. Then power on.
