Is software ported to OS X able run on Ubuntu?

Asked by David Allen Tiffany

There is a program I rely on heavily as a Christian blogger, but its a Windows program. It runs with the Wine emulator, but isn't fully functional in this configuration. It is the only thing keeping me tethered to Windows. Recently I received a news release from the Copyright holder that his ministry is coming out with software compatible with Mac OS X systems running on PC's. The software is compatible with the GNU licensing. I wondered if the Mac version software would be compatible with Ubuntu. (It is distributed by e-Sword.net). Thank you for your time.

If it does not work, please explain exactly WHICH function in e-Sword does not work for you....

Or you can simply choose one of these alternatives:
