Working with photos

Asked by Nigel Fitt

I have a photo on my hard drive that I want to save to my flash disk. I select Home and Photos from the Task Bar. I choose the photo and click on File, Save as and selct my Flash disk. An error message appears saying that I do not have the necessary permission to save the file.

I took the original photo and uploaded it to the www. I lost the original so I downloaded it and saved it on my pc as a jpeg image.

I am using Ubuntu 14.10 and the Chromium browser.

When you are done with the device do you use the safe removal feature in your OS before you physically unplug the device, or do you just pull it out?

I do not know how my flash drive is formatted. I do not know how to format a flash drive using Ubuntu.

I use the safe removal feature in Ubuntu before I remove my flash drive.
