4 images on the sceen

Asked by Morineau

On an Asus F200MA (16/9 sceen), after installing Ubuntu all was OK. After putting off the computer and putting on after, we can see 4 images. System/material/affichage don't give yet the possibility to choise 1366x768. But if I start Ubuntu by the CD it's good!!!
What to do ? Thanks for your help. I am a beginner on Ubuntu.

Can you please give a screenshot. Use imageshack (or similar) to make a URL of the image.

Thanks

so you couldn't maybe use a digital camera, or a phone to take a snap then use that?

You need ZERO Ubuntu knowhow to do that.......

I'm not in my home with my new computer now. I'll try to understand in a few hours!!:
I'm french so I'm not sure for "snap", is it a screen copy?
After reflexion I think it would be a problem of pilot. I will see how to install that if I can find.
Thanks for your time and help.

Snap is short for snapshot (photograph). Imageshack site below.

https://imageshack.com/signup

Postimage site below.

http://postimage.org/

Have had good luck with both.

Thanks Michael,

It was not a problem of driver. (probably ?). I thought it was a problem
that cames when I loaded evolutions ( sudo apt-get upgrade).

In fact I reformatted my hd and reinstalled for the n ieme time ubuntu,
but without loading the evolutions by internet at first. It was OK. I
saved ( parametre system/ sauvegarde (in french)) at every new config
when I went to the web to load various things. I closed and opened for
every update.

Now I think that ubunto is updated and WORKS correctly.... I don't have
explanation!!! but it works, so.....
The version installed in first is 14.1 it seems for me it's 14.2 when
upgraded, and it's this one that is not correct for my screen. I'm not
sure but it seems.

Thus I'm not able to send you photos, sorry for that, but I'm happy for
my PC!

Now I have to make a virtual machine to put W xp because I need a lot of
softs ( math, electronic, simul ...) that only works in and not on W
8.1. I have a lot of work to do! I not really know how to do....

Thank you a lot to have spent time for me. Have a happy day
Jacques
