Trying to install Truecrack 3.5 on Ubuntu booted off of USB

Asked by Kang

I am trying to run Truecrack 3.5 on Ubuntu as Kali is limited to version 3.0.
I have plenty of space on my USB stick and even tried to install it off another stick. when I cd truecrack it tells me that there is no such file or directory even though it is on my sticks. What must I do to get this installed? I tried cd /media/something I don't remember but was the acurate path/truecrack.
If I could do it graphically that would be great but I will take anything that works.
I am trying to install 3.5 because it can decrypt a whole disk encrypted disk and I know the components of the password just not what order they are in.
Thank you.

when I ran lsb_release -a; uname -a it said there were no lsb modules available and gave a lot of information- too much for it to fit on my notepad.

What do I do about the lsb thing? Is that what is holding me back?

when I try to install lsb it tells me it can't because dependancies are not installed

Why does the text need to fit in a notepad.

Just copy the output and paste as an update on https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/262500
