Can't install Ubuntu- graphics problem?

Asked by Paul Oates

I have tried different versions of Ubuntu and other Linux flavours as well. The only one to install is Puppy Linux - but which only runs in a basic graphics mode and even then the screen goes awry from time to time. Ubuntu 7.10 has reported that my screen and graphics card could not be detected. From the above I conclude that I cannot install Linux on my system which is an Abit AN-M2 mbd with onboard NVIDIA Geforce 7025 graphics. I note there is no NVIDIA driver for Linux for series 7 Geforce cards in any case. Can someone please recommend a cheap graphics card with TV out which Ubuntu would recognise? (Assuming it is a graphics problem.)

I hope that this could help you.

I don't know if this will help

The 100.14.11 version of this driver was released on June 21 2007.

Sound like your graphic card is supported with it.
