how to remove nautilus and use nemo

i installed nemo as it is able to display the folder in the title bar. when i try to remove nautilus it wants to remove libreoffice-writer with it. is there something wrong here, ubuntu 14.10:

$ sudo wajig purge nautilus

Just set nautilus as the default file browser and leave nautilus installed. Nautilus isn't just a file browser, it also draws the wallpaper and the desktop icons

and i noticed clicking on mp4 in nemo does not start the video player correctly

Then that's an issue with nemo. I suggest you report a bug
