wireless problem (bcm 43xx)

Hi,

I installed bcm43xx firmware via the restricted drivers manager, and now I can see the wireless networks on knetworkmanager.

I was able to connect to a network but wasn't able to actually use the internet at first, now I can't even connect to the network.

I don't understand what's wrong. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

the installation of bcm 43xx is a little more involved; please take a look at

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/bcm43xx/Gutsy

and follow the steps described; it'll get you there.
