how to install oracle 9i on ubuntu 7.10?

i have recently installed ubuntu 7.10,i need to know how to install oracle9i database,and oracle9i devoloper suite,and what steps do i have to follow to get this goal.

Thanks for your question.

Oracle 9i is quite obsolete. Additional to that, Ubuntu 7.10 is not a supported operating system for 9i.

You won't have much success installing it on Ubuntu 7.10.

Oracle 9i is not available in the repositories, but you can download from Oracle at http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oracle9i/index.html. You will need to follow installation directions as supplied by Oracle.

An even better choice would be to use an open source database such as MySQL or Postgre.
