upgrade ubuntu 5.04 to ubuntu 6.10

How to upgrade ubuntu 5.04 to ubuntu 6.10 without fresh installation from CD? Is there anyway to do that?

You can upgrade Ubuntu without re-installing, yes. However it is not advisable to upgrade from 5.04 to 6.10 in one jump. It is recommended to go 5.04 --> 5.10 --> 6.06 --> 6.10. If you have high speed internet access then you can do this by following the procedures linked from the following page:-
