.3gp

Hi All,
I am using Ubuntu 7.10 and every time I try to play a .3gp video file I can see the video but no sound all my sound setting is check and OK all other formats plays normal any one has any Idea?

Which one video player are you using?

Make you sure you have these two packages installed:
libavcodec0d, libavformat0d

Hi,
I tried theme all like movie player and VLC and Helix.
where do i get these packages?

Normal install them via Synaptic (System→Administration→Synaptic Package Manager).

Hi,
I did not find this packages i even coped and pasted it to the synaptic search nothing came up.
please advice.

So first make you sure, you have enabled all software sources - https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu

I have feisty (7.04) so maybe in gutsy is newer version -- try to search libavcodec and libavformat.

Those packages are called: libavformat1d and libavcodec1d in gutsy. Try installing those.

My last idea is to use RealPlayer for read Linux -- I have somewhere, that RealPlayer can play this without problems...
