I have tried to download BleachBit twice now, and both times it has gotten hung up very early in the download

Asked by bccynic

Last night it took a few hours, and at that point it said that it was waiting for Synaptic to exit. I left it over night and when I checked it had not installed. I tried again today and it hung upafter a tiny bit of the download approx 1/10th.

Sorry I missed your response from 4 hours ago
(sudo fuser -vki /var/lib/dpkg/lock;sudo dpkg --configure -a)
I have just tried it several times and I get refused
Last response was "sudo: dpkg--configure-a: command not found"
I may not be typing precisely for spaces and spaces before dashes, etc, but I have tried with spaces and no spaces before dashes.
I know dos or dos like commands must be precise, but i think i must have in at least one of my several attempts.
Would a reboot help?
I truly appreciate your patience.
Thank you!!
